Calibration of IR Moisture Analyzer
- PROCEDURE
- Frequency: Calibrate the instrument quarterly.
- Operate the instrument as per operation of Moisture Analyzer SOP.
- Calibrate with the help of standards weight i.e. 1.0gm, 5.0 gm, 10.0 gm and 20.0gm.
- Acceptance Criteria: ± 0.1%.
- Set the required temperature with numerical entries in status display and press “enter”.
- Open the heating module and place the empty sample pan in the sample chamber. Close the module and zero the instrument.
- Now place the Di-sodium tartrate in the sample pan about 2.0 gm.
- Set the Temperature at 120°C.
- Close the heating module and Press “start” key, automatically drying process will take
- When drying is complete, deep sound will come. Read and record the moisture content of sample in the display and precedes the same process twice.
- Open the Heating module, carefully remove the sample holder and discard the sample in the dustbin.
- Acceptance Criteria:60% to 15.70%
- Calibration Report of IR Moisture Analyser shall be prepared as per SOP.
- After the successful completion of calibration. Calibration label shall be affix on the instrument as per SOP.
- If the Calibration parameters are out of limit affix the Out of Calibration label and Inform to QC Head/Designee.
- Activity shall be recorded in the Instrument usage log book.
